FROM THE CRITICS
Alison: “The film is no holds barred in portraying Alison’s wild antics, and Rose gives a remarkably brave, distinctly raw and unvarnished performance as Alison, touching on both the almost desperate charm on the surface and the gaping, grasping need underneath it.” – Omeleto.com
Alison: “Rose’s turn as the titular title character is nothing short of amazing — it’s such a rooted portrayal of the character and not some overblown or overacted cliché.” – OneFilmFan.com
Alison: “I was drawn to a lot about Alison – the chemistry of Rose and Kristopher Turner, the episodic structure taking place within a limited timeframe, the intimacy of the cinematography even in (or especially in) moments of levity, and mostly the reality Rose has written. Like real love, Alison is no one thing, it is an amalgam of many little emotions that when taken as a whole equal a living, breathing relationship.” – H. Perry Horton, Film School Rejects
Alison: ” [Alison] is thought-provoking and emotional and the performances by Jessica Rose and Kristopher Turner are superb. It will become a favorite of both rom-com and drama lovers alike.” – SommetDame.com
Alison: “The writing in this scene is so delicate that you could almost believe the situation is real. Rose does a phenomenal job creating characters who are human and easy to connect to.” – MonologueBlogger.com
Alison: “Both Rose and Turner create believable and fully formed characters, transforming a mere snippet of life into a deeper and more complex story where issues are not so easily resolved.” – Try The Other Guy
Alison: ““Alison” is an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish. This short film manages to perfectly capture the ups and downs of a long-term relationship. If you’re a crier, this one will do it for sure.” – Resource Magazine
Far From The Tree: “A shining gem in this play, though all the acting was above par, was Jessica Rose as the youngest daughter, Melanie. her introduction to the play was fantastic, and all her movement scenes were done with grace and energy. She is quite the actress, and shone light on scenes that would have otherwise dragged.” – Ryan Trapanier, Artword.net
After Mrs. Rochester: “The standout member of the cast for me was Jessica Rose…” – Mooney on Theatre
The Women: “Jessica Rose largely succeeds as Little Mary, representing the millions of puzzled and distraught offspring of broken homes everywhere.” – James Wegg Review
